I had the honor and pleasure of completing with esteemed colleagues the 11-12 May 2022 BB3 Workshop, offered by William Ury and the eXperimental Negotiation Initiative (xNI). xNI is a program of One Earth Future, an incubator of innovative peacebuilding programs, and was launched in collaboration with William Ury, co-founder of Harvard’s Program on Negotiation, co-author of Getting to Yes, and one of the world’s leading experts on negotiation and mediation, to explore the obstacles to negotiated agreement and how to overcome them. xNI distilled Ury’s nearly half a century of knowledge and experience with impossible conflicts around the world into a transformative mindset called Possibilism and a powerful method called BB3.
We worked as teams to practice BB3 through interactive exercises, practical application, discussion, and feedback. We learned how to apply the Art of Possible to transform conflicts and unlock progress. As a result, I participate in monthly Possibilists Meet-Ups with fellow Possibilists to share perspectives and gain practical ideas.
